The Edit Begins...

So I have a sort of routine now when it comes to writing and editing my books. First, I write a book.
I know that sounds silly, but that's the rough draft of the book that I want to write, it looks sort of like a book. Then, I go through that book, add and subtract until it's as good as I can get it. That's the second draft. If you're wondering, I use "The Ten Day Edit" as a guide.
Then, I hand it off to the capable hands of my editor, who basically rips it apart and we put it back together again. This is where I am now with Dead at Eighteen. We're going line by line through the whole thing, making each sentence better, more readable, and of course with as few grammatical errors as possible.
I absolutely hate doing it, but I love the results, so...
After I rip out my hair for the next few weeks, I should have a beautiful shiny new manuscript ready to upload to Amazon and share with the world!
I'll keep you updated. October 30 is still the planned release date for the final installment of The Knowers series..-- Dead at Eighteen.
