The Wrap Party Murder is the first book in the Bo-Bo and Bobby Mysteries, a cozy mystery series. It takes place in 1923, Hollywood, and the main character is Bobby, a semi-movie star who's attractive, young, gay, and a suspect in a murder. His posse consists of his eccentric mother, Joyce. Bo-Bo, the Jack Russell Terrier's trainer, Rick, and Clara Bow, who's new in town and hasn't made any movies yet.
There is a bit of romance as we watch Bobby and Rick dance around their attraction for each other. We also get a glimpse into the parties and clothes of the rich and famous in 1923.
This book is also part of the "Knower Universe" where some people have knowledge of their past lives and can predict the future. Bobby also has the ability to know when he's being lied to, which comes in pretty handy. My other books lean heavily on the Knowers.
If you like a fun mystery, with a bit of romance and supernatural ability tossed in, you'll like The Wrap Party Murder.
