ABOUT D.A.E. JACKSON

D.A.E. Jackson has always been passionate about self-expression. As a younger person on this planet, dancing, singing, and acting were the preferred modes, now it's writing. Jackson was raised in Kansas, spent many years in New York City and suburbs, and is now happily back in Kansas again. Living with a very understanding husband and 2 not so understanding dogs fills the days. When there's a break in the writing Jackson enjoys a weekend dance class and the occasional 5k.

D.A.E. Jackson is extremely proud and excited to share the work Dead at Sixteen, Book One in The Knowers series.      15-year-old Philip is between friends when he meets Mike, who's everything skinny Philip isn't.  Mike also knows something that Philip doesn't--they've been a couple for more lifetimes than he can count.

The Knowers are born again and again with a guiding mission to help people, and Mike has been waiting for Philip to access those lifetimes of good memories so they can have another amazing lifetime together. Just as Philip is becoming aware of his own history as a Knower, someone arrives in their midwestern town to kidnap and kill the secretive Knowers who live there.

Eventually, Philip, Mike, and others head out on an adventure to stop the Hunter before he can strike again. They usually use their gifts of telling the future, because they know the past so well, to help mankind avoid mistakes. Now they use their gifts to stop a madman before he can stop them. All the while, Philip is remembering their lives together and falling hard for Mike.

Will they live long enough to start their next life together? Philip doesn't think so, but what a journey it is to get there!

The third and final book in the Knower series.

It's 2017 - Could Kominsky still be alive? Andi and Alex are twin Knowers who've been raised to have all the skills to defeat the Hunter.

Will their parents' training be enough to keep them alive? Will Alex meet the love of his many, many lives again?

Some of your favorite characters from the first two Knower books return; older and, hopefully, wiser this time to defeat Kominsky and his organization once and for all.

Come back for the final "Happily Ever After!"

The book that changed everything for me was my introduction to the Cozy Mystery genre. I love them. If you don't know what a Cozy Mystery is, just think of Agatha Chrystie and a manor house full of suspects. Of course, I couldn't be that traditional, so I set my cozys in Hollywood during the silent movie days. Our hero, Bobby is a minor movie star who acts with a delightful Jack Russell Terrier named Bo-Bo. He's gay and has to keep that a secret as well as the fact that he's a Knower. That's right, I brought the Knower Universe to Hollywood. It doesn't play such a big part as it did in the Dead at... books, but it adds a fun and slightly supernatural element to solving crimes.

I introduce several real-life movie people, like Clara Bow and Alla Nazimova to give the book a little reality. The book originally had a different cover, but this is the new one, hopefully in keeping with the genre.

Genre: Historical Cozy Mystery, M/M, pet, paranormal

The second addition to the Cozy Mystery series finds our intrepid heroes on Catalina Island in 1923 filming a movie and of course, someone is murdered. This time someone else is the main suspect and Bobby has to help clear their name. Of course, Bo-Bo is along to help catch the killer as well as most of the people from the first Bo-Bo and Bobby. Things start to heat up a bit between Bobby and Rick. You can see how far that goes in Murder In Avelon.

Genre: Historical Cozy Mystery, M/M, pet, paranormal

The third book in the Bo-Bo and Bobby series finds our unconventional group being invited by Marion Davies to spend the weekend at the Hearst Castle. Of course, someone dies, and of course, they are stuck with a murderer until the police arrive. Can Bobby and his friends solve the crime before the police arrive?            Have faith in our plucky band of heroes! Oh, and Bobby and Rick do find time to be alone--together.

It's the year 2000 and Daniel has been through a lot. His parents have both recently died, he just graduated from high school, and he's just inherited a big old rambling mansion on Long Island Sound.

As soon as Daniel and his boyfriend arrive to fix up the old place, strange things start to happen.

Soon, Daniel has to decide if the house is haunted, or perhaps, it's acting as a portal through time. Of course, he could also be going mad.

Daniel's Story is the first book in a duology about Shippan House and the young men who live there, 80 years apart.

Genre: YA, Supernatural, mm angsty romance
